"Let's end this marriage and get on with our lives," he threw the divorce papers in her face with his mistress clinging onto his arm. Lauren was devastated. It wasn't just because of their three years marriage, they've been in love for seven whole years! Everything irked her! The face of her cheating husband, his mistress who shared an uncanny resemblance with her and... Waking up to the face of her ex husband's uncle in bed with her! Lauren must run from the men of the Williams house but this young uncle has finally seen a chance to have her and he won't let her go so easily. After Lauren completely let go of her failed marriage with Jayden, Jayden regretted the divorce and pursued her again. Faced with her ex-husband and his young uncle, who would Lauren choose?
Lauren had never liked tinted car windows but as she stood before her husband's car which shook vigorously from his serious pounding of his waist movement, she really wished his windows were tinted.
At least then she wouldn't have seen... this... this-- she blinked back at the tears but they fell anyways and she gripped her cellphone in her hand.
God! Like a fool she'd been so eager when she got his call that he'd pick her up and he told her come down to the parking lot to meet him.
Her thoughts had wondered what they were going to do. Maybe sex -- yes, she had though of it. Always fantasized about doing that here but he beat her to it.
His pants hanging loosely around his thigh, his fair unblemished butt cheeks stared back at her as he thrust like his life depended on it and each stroke made her heart bleed.
He moved as though he didn't have a wife back at home-- in fact, back upstairs in the same company!
He had no shame, fucking someone else and not just anyone as it seemed.
This woman... Her nails scratched his back and she held him so dearly like they were in love. She was spreading her legs for another woman's husband without even pausing to think about getting caught.
Only one woman would have such guts and from her blonde hair and eyes, Lauren knew just who it was.
Jayden's secretary, Sophia.
It wasn't a surprise that the woman was Sophia. She had always looked at her boss with flirty and admiring eyes, Lauren just never thought they would take things this far.
She turned away from the two, heart clenched and aching without mercy, she walked away with her distorted reality and got into a cab heading straight home.
This wasn't how her marriage was supposed to go. This wasn't how she envisioned her life with the only man she had ever loved.
They had been together for ten years; three years in marriage and seven in courtship and as kids growing up. The two had always been in love or so Lauren thought.
Where did it all go wrong?
All she could think about now was Jayden's wide smile like everything was alright with them. Was he mocking her behind those smiles; kissing and touching another woman while he returned home like nothing happened?
She was conflicted on how to approach this and once she got home, she paced the living room, running her fingers through her hair over and over again.
The image refused to leave her head and all she could think of was how passionately Sophia had her arms around him.
It simply told her that this wasn't the first time they were doing this. Her heart broke even further and she wiped her tears, willing herself not to cry.
Men cheat, right? She tried to console herself. Everyone did say it was in a man's nature to cheat-- while she had always expected Jayden to be different, she never put that notion in her marriage.
" It's okay," she said to herself taking deep breaths to calm herself. She was too young to have a failed marriage. Everyone gets cheated on... Right?
The door opened and she stopped to turn around. Her heart sank when Jayden and his assistant walked in, holding each other so dearly.
She was willing to pretend like she didn't see anything but when they acted so daring, what did they want from her?
" You're home," Lauren forced a smile on her face with her hands on her waist as she stared at the two so intently. Jayden had his arms wrapped around Sophia's waist while the bitch was in her husband's embrace, smiling triumphantly.
She wanted nothing more than to drag her by the hair and slap some sense into him.
"Lauren," Jayden said with a poker face. "Here," he stretched a document towards her and she hesitated, watching the woman in his arms before glancing at him.
" What's this?" She wondered, hesitating to take it.
" Divorce papers-"
"What?" Did she hear right? She flinched, throwing her hands back to her bosom in shock like the document had a disease on it.
" What is this about?" She questioned, refusing to read the writing on the wall.
" Let's end this marriage and get on with our lives," he glanced at her before narrowing his eyes with such nonchalance that made her search the man's face for the man she had always loved.
Clearly they weren't the same person.
" N-No," she frowned, frightened by his words. "No, you... What is the meaning of this?"
" I'm sorry to but into your conversation-" Sophia started to say and Lauren snapped at her.
" Shut that hole in your face!"
Jayden scowled and pulled his mistress closer, " Don't talk to her like that." The warning in his voice threw her off balance and her jaw hung loose.
"Is this why you asked for a divorce, Jay? Is this it?" She huffed in disbelief. "You're throwing us away for a woman who'll clearly spread her legs for just anyone-"
" Hey! Don't fucking talk to me that way-"
" Ten years I've known you, Jay. Ten fucking years!" Lauren screamed at the top of her lungs. " We've been together for ten years and this is what I get?"
" Look, Lauren, I respect you that's why I came down here to tell you myself-"
She recoiled and blinked in shock, "Oh, you'd have sent your assistant? Too bad you're too busy fucking her in the parking lot to get anything done-"
She turned her face away when he suddenly flung the papers in her face.
" I don't have time for this! Sign the damn papers and we're through. If you refuse to sign it, get ready to live your married life as lonely as you can ever be. Give me my damn freedom, Lauren. I don't want to be with you anymore. Deal with it."
His words were unhinged and venomous, striking her heart without mercy. The only thing familiar about this man was his face, everything else was not what she used to know.
He was leading his mistress out, who chuckled at her before throwing her face away as they slammed the door shut leaving her alone in the house filled with their memories.
She grabbed onto a chair as her legs weakened and she clutched her chest.
How could he throw all their years away? What happened to "I love you so much, Lauren"? And "I'll continue to choose you"? What happened to those, hmm?
They were all lies!
Lies he had spoken on their wedding day and every other day after that!
She wiped the tear as they fell and straightened her face with a hardened aching heart. She rose to her feet and proceeded to pick up the papers.
If he wanted a damn divorce without even trying to fix what they have going on, then she was going to give it to him.
She signed her name on the divorce papers, her tears falling onto the document.
Don't fucking cry for him, she sniffed as she told herself. He didn't deserve her and it was fucking obvious. If he had even a pinch of love for her, he wouldn't have-
She shuddered as she almost burst into tears but Lauren grabbed her bags and left, slamming the door shut.
The house was filled with so many memories of her and Jayden. Every corner, every counter, she could see him kissing her there. It was like a silent yet glaring torture that stared her back in the face and screamed at her.
Her head was spinning when she got down from the cab and walked into the bar with her straight face and slight red eyes from crying.
Tonight, she was going to have so much fun and forget all about him and his creepy mistress who thought she could seduce her husband with her face.
"One shot of vodka, please," she said to the bartender. "In fact, you know what? Give me your strongest wine." Go hard or go home and Lauren had no one waiting for her at home.
